Spotify's CEO may not want to make a big deal out of his company's stock market debut, but the New York Stock Exchange is adding some flashiness. Unfortunately, the NYSE team also messed up who and what they're celebrating.

On Tuesday, the NYSE hung a Swiss flag outside of the building. The flag was next to two American flags and in front of a big banner for Spotify, as shared by Twitter user Joachim Löfstedt:

One would think it was celebrating Spotify's heritage. But as Löfstedt shared in his tweet with the laughing tears emoji and two flag emojis, the NYSE chose the wrong flag.

That flag has since been swapped.

NYSE now open and #Spotify listing price still yet to come (reference at $132). I’ll have the latest updates for @FoxBusiness#spotpic.twitter.com/liUy80q8dJ

NYSE did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

UPDATE: April 3, 2018, 11:34 a.m. EDT The New York Stock Exchange has issued a statement about why the wrong flag may have been raised Tuesday morning:

We hope everyone enjoyed our momentary ode to our neutral role in the process of price discovery this morning
